E hëna e parë e majit po afron, që do të thotë se “Super Bowl-i” i modës është pothuajse këtu. Është nata më e madhe për njerëzit më të veshur mirë në botë dhe një nga momentet më të preferuara për të komentuar nga larg. Sigurisht, është emocionuese të ecësh në shkallët me tapet të muzeut Metropolitan Museum of Art, por po aq kënaqësi është ta ndjekësh nga divani.

Cila është tema e ekspozitës për Met Gala 2026?

Sipas njoftimit për shtyp të muzeut, ekspozita do të shqyrtojë rolin qendror të trupit të veshur, duke vendosur përkrah njëra-tjetrës veshje dhe vepra arti nga koleksioni i gjerë i muzeut. Qëllimi është të krijohen kombinime që nxjerrin në pah lidhjen e pandashme midis rrobave dhe trupit, si dhe ndërveprimin kompleks midis paraqitjeve artistike të trupit dhe modës si një formë arti e mishëruar. Ekspozita do të jetë e hapur nga 10 maji deri më 10 janar.

Cili është kodi i veshjes për Met Gala 2026?

Tema e ekspozitës dhe kodi i veshjes nuk janë kurrë identike, por ky i fundit është menduar të plotësojë atë që paraqitet në muze. Të ftuarve u kërkohet të shprehin marrëdhënien e tyre personale me modën si një formë arti e mishëruar dhe të festojnë mënyrat e panumërta se si trupi i veshur është paraqitur gjatë historisë së artit. Parashikohet që do të ketë shumë referenca nga koleksioni pranverë 1997 “Lumps and Bumps” i Comme des Garçons, i cili ishte pjesë e prezantimit paraprak.

The first Monday in May is approaching, which means the “Super Bowl” of fashion is almost here. It’s the biggest night for the world’s best-dressed people and one of the most favorite moments to comment from afar. Sure, it’s exciting to walk up the carpeted stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but it’s just as fun to watch from the couch.

And while it's impossible to make completely accurate predictions about what everyone will wear, as the guest list is kept secret until the evening of the event, it's still interesting to think about what might happen based on the limited information that exists.

Last November, during a preview presentation at the museum, it was announced that the theme of this year's exhibition would be "The Art of Costume ." Months later, it was revealed that the dress code would be "Fashion is Art . "

What is the exhibition theme for the 2026 Met Gala?

According to the museum’s press release, the exhibition will examine the central role of the clothed body, juxtaposing clothing and artwork from the museum’s extensive collection. The aim is to create combinations that highlight the inseparable connection between clothing and the body, as well as the complex interplay between artistic representations of the body and fashion as an embodied art form. The exhibition will be open from May 10 to January 10.

What is the dress code for the Met Gala 2026?

The exhibition theme and dress code are never identical, but the latter is intended to complement what is presented in the museum. Guests are asked to express their personal relationship with fashion as an embodied art form and to celebrate the countless ways in which the dressed body has been presented throughout the history of art. It is anticipated that there will be many references to Comme des Garçons’ spring 1997 “Lumps and Bumps” collection, which was part of the previous presentation.
