Për vetëm 40 minuta: Ankandi me protagoniste Nicole Kidman arrin

Shtëpia prestigjioze e ankandeve Christie’s arriti të shesë mbi 1.1 miliardë dollarë vepra arti brenda vetëm pak orësh, duke vendosur rekorde të reja për artistë si Jackson Pollock dhe Constantin Brancusi.

Vetëm pjesa e parë e ankandit, që përfshinte 16 vepra nga koleksioni privat i S. I. Newhouse, solli mbi 630 milionë dollarë për 40 minuta. Më pas, mbrëmja vazhdoi me shitje të tjera rekord, duke e çuar totalin në afro 1.1 miliardë dollarë.

Por vëmendje të madhe mori edhe fushata promovuese e ankandit, ku protagoniste ishte Nicole Kidman. Aktorja u shfaq në një video artistike të realizuar nga Christie’s, e frymëzuar nga filmat surrealistë të viteve ’30 të realizuar nga Man Ray. Në video, Kidman shfaqet pranë bustit të artë “Danaïde”, që konsiderohej një nga yjet e ankandit.

Në ankand u shitën gjithashtu vepra nga emra të mëdhenj si Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, Joan Miró dhe Mark Rothko.

Një tjetër rekord u vendos edhe për Rothkon, pasi një nga veprat e tij nga koleksioni i ish-presidentes së Museum of Modern Art, Agnes Gund, u shit për 98.4 milionë dollarë.

Ekspertët thonë se tregu i artit luksoz po përpiqet të rikthehet fuqishëm pas një periudhe pasigurie ekonomike dhe rënieje të shitjeve globale. Për këtë arsye, shtëpitë e ankandeve po fokusohen gjithnjë e më shumë te koleksionet private të miliarderëve dhe figurave të njohura, ku gjenden vepra të rralla që dalin shumë rrallë në treg.

The prestigious auction house Christie's managed to sell over $1.1 billion worth of artwork in just a few hours, setting new records for artists such as Jackson Pollock and Constantin Brancusi.

The first part of the auction alone, which included 16 works from the private collection of SI Newhouse, brought in over $630 million in 40 minutes. The evening then continued with other record sales, bringing the total to nearly $1.1 billion.

One of the most commented moments of the evening was Brancusi's sculpture "Danaïde", which sold for $107.6 million, immediately breaking the artist's previous record of $71.2 million.

But the auction's promotional campaign, starring Nicole Kidman, also received a lot of attention. The actress appeared in an artistic video made by Christie's, inspired by the surrealist films of the 1930s made by Man Ray. In the video, Kidman appears next to the golden bust "Danaïde", which was considered one of the stars of the auction.

Another record was also set for Rothko, as one of his works from the collection of former Museum of Modern Art president Agnes Gund was sold for $98.4 million.

Experts say the luxury art market is struggling to recover strongly after a period of economic uncertainty and a decline in global sales. For this reason, auction houses are increasingly focusing on the private collections of billionaires and famous figures, where rare works are found that rarely come to market.
